Yet Another Snow Day

So I'm here at home again today, after we got over 13 inches of snow dumped on us Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. There was originally a 2-hour delay this morning, and we were on our way to school when we got the text message that the district had decided to cancel. Gotta love instantaneous alerts. So we got off on the exit to school, turned around, and came back home. We've now officially had 5 days canceled due to weather this year, which means the last day of school is now a Thursday. I'm glad they canceled, though--the roads were truly nasty and the plows have not gotten around enough yet. This is nice--it gives me a chance to catch up on a few things, including my scrapbooking. I've been taking so many pictures lately with the 2 weddings in the family that I was running out of room in my temporary photo albums for all the pictures! Yikes! I do want to get our wedding albums finished as well, since it's already been 2 1/2 years.

In other news, I am getting my hamstring taken care of (finally) by a physical therapist here in town, and I decided to accept an offer to perform in Alice in Wonderland this spring. It's a ballet that is being done by the same studio where I did The Nutcracker. I will be the cook...hope it will be fun! The trade-off of doing this performance is that I can't do the spelling bee this year because it conflicts with one of the dress rehearsals. That's okay, because one of my team members from last year was wimping out on me and I wasn't sure I could find anyone else willing to get up there with me. It's time to let someone else win for a change anyway.

I'm also going to teach a swing-dancing class 3rd trimester at my school, assuming that enough students sign up. I'm really looking forward to swing dancing again.
