Offer accepted!
The sellers accepted the $1800 although they are withdrawing their promise to pay home warranty. Fine with us, and we probably won't buy the warranty ourselves. You have to have at least a $500 repair to make it worthwhile, and with a new furnace and water heater, we are unlikely to have such a costly repair within the first year. They also got the gas leak fixed yesterday. We signed the acceptance and will send it today. Hooray!
I chewed out my kids yesterday for talking too much. I have a list of parents to call about their childrens' talking habits in my class.
Grades are due tomorrow at noon, and then we have a 3-day weekend before we start the next trimester. I will be SO glad to have the break. I need to get back to working on invitations--that 8-week deadline is looming closer than I think. To send things out early enough, they probably need to be sent by May 1st. Yikes!

Congratulations, you two! Yay! When do you close?
We close April 15th and we have our apartment through May, so we have plenty of time to make improvements and move.
Tax day! Joy!
If you want to paint, do it before you move in, that way you don't have to move furniture or cover it.
I would love to paint everything before we move, but I don't think we have the time to do it ourselves or the money to pay someone else. Come to think of it, I'm not sure we even have the money to paint all the rooms ourselves! Closing costs, honeymoon, student loans...although the beams in the living room are the priority. I think it will probably gradually get done over the next few years.
We have pictures. I will post soon if I can figure out how to do it here. (Michele, some help?)
