A Suzanne by any other name...

Will the name problems be better or worse this year? At least the new one can be written phonetically. Trust me, I tried to write the old one phonetically on occasion and it never worked. But when mispronounced, the new one rhymes with quite a nasty word. I'm going to write the phonetic pronunciation on the board and hope that the kids get it in their head the right way quickly.

Still, I'm glad I changed it. Once the kids get used to it, hopefully they won't think of it the other way again.

First day back for teachers is tomorrow. I'm here blogging instead of making a PowerPoint like I should be. Procrastination is an evil, evil habit, and I'll think about breaking it. Tomorrow.

At least you'll still know when telemarketers are calling - they still can't pronounce the name! Ha-ha! (I have the same thing with my maiden and married names. No one can pronounce either one correctly!)
