I'm okay
But the car is not.
Getting on the freeway this morning, I allowed the car to drift so that the driver's front wheel was on the gravel shoulder. Trying to correct and get back on the road, I lost control and drove the car down a hill. I was shaken up but walked away without a scratch. The car has a huge dent on the passenger rear side and the rear bumper was torn off. The passenger mirror is broken as well as the passenger front blinker.
My cell phone minutes are almost gone, but I called Derek, the insurance company, and a friend to get a ride to school.
This is not how I wanted to start my week.

No kidding! I'm so glad you're okay. That's the important thing. But I know how scary that can be, having diven down a hill myself. :-) Hang in there.
Glad to hear you're okay. That's all that really matters. Besides, it is always good to get your money out of your car insurance premiums. ;)
glad you're ok, suzanne. is the car fixable or is it totaled (or do you know yet?) when i got in my accident years ago, the damage was enough to total the car - it would have cost more to fix than the car was worth.
how is school going today?
Don't know yet if it's totaled--there's enough damage that it will more than likely be totaled though. Guess we're probably going to have to go car shopping.
I'm really, really glad you are okay. Hang in there!
