We're homeowners!

All done and it's ours. We drove up there with the intention of renting a carpet shampooer to do the rugs (they had cats and a smoker) and discovered that we forgot to call and have the electricity turned on. Whoops! But we did take up a first load of stuff including some vanilla candles (conveniently, we have several dozen for the wedding) that we've heard will help with the smoke smell. It's not too bad, you just notice briefly when you walk in and in one of the rooms especially.
Oh, the closet space. The closet space!! :-) Going to Olive Garden to celebrate tonight.

Congratulations! Do you feel grown-up yet?
One thing you might want to do in regards to the cigarette smoke is open up the outlet covers. We found that when my grandmother died and my dad swiched out the outlets (two pronged to three), the house reeked again. Might as well get it all over with at once!
Will we get to see it in June/July?

My mom got me some candles that supposedly remove odors from the air--shhh... don't tell her I haven't actually tried them. :) I think she got them at Bed, Bath and Beyond or something.
